Dr. Lanier is well known for his wonderful beside manner with all of his patients and communication with their owners. His extensive medical knowledge treats not only dogs and cats but also birds and exotics as well.

Golden Gate Animal Clinic is a well established Veterinary clinic in Naples and has been around since the 1980’s. GGAC offers a variety of medical services from wellness exams to surgical and dental procedures. We also have a full service boarding facility to accommodate your pet’s needs while you are away on business or pleasure. We do our best to accommodate all of our pet owners and offer scheduled appointments and drop off appointments for our working pet parents. We will always strive to make you and your pet’s clinic experience as comfortable as possible.

Learn Who We Are

  • Dr.
    John Lanier

    Dr. John Lanier graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1979. He has practiced in Naples since 1980.

    Dr. Lanier’s interests include companion animal care, dentistry, surgery, avian medicine, exotic and small mammal medicine. Dr. Lanier also donates his time and services through his work with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Big Cypress National Preserve in the capture, recollaring, emergency care, and treatment of the Florida panther.

    Dr. Lanier is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Florida Veterinary Medical Association, Association of Avian Veterinarians, and the Collier County Veterinary Society.

  • Michaela
    Hospital Administrator

    Michaela is our Hospital Administrator and has been with GGAC since 2009, where she started as a technician and has transitioned to management within the past couple of years. She has been in the veterinary field for 22 years in which she started as a receptionist and then moved into a technician position shortly after. While managing the practice she is also attended FSW to receive her A.S in Business Management & Law studies, and was able to earn the very prestigious  CVPM title(Certified Veterinary Practice Manager).

    Head Technician

    Heather is our Head Technician and has been with GGAC since 2013. She was born and raised in TN and moved to FL 2 1/2 years ago. Heather has been in veterinary medicine since 2004. She has been married for 4 years and has a turtle “Turt Cobain”, a cat named ” Peyton”, and her beloved dog named “Sadie.” In her spare time she loves to read and take Sadie to the dog beach for some fun in the sun. Heather is an amazing example of a well rounded employee who always goes above and beyond for all our patients and clients. We are so fortunate to have her with us!

  • Joclyn
    Client Service Specialist

    Joclyn is one of our outstanding Client Service Specialist who is new to Veterinary medicine.  Joclyn is doing a wonderful job and loves being able to help clients with all their pets needs. You can see her bright smiling face when you walk in the door and be sure to know that she always goes above and beyond for our wonderful clients.

  • Yasmeen
    Client Service Specialist

    Yasmeen started as a kennel assistant in 2015 while in high school and has now become our Senior Client Care Specialist.  Yasmeen is outgoing with a great personality which our clients have come to know and  love. She is quite the character always making us laugh and have a good time while we are hard at work. She is an exceptional team member and we are glad to have her as part of GGAC.

  • Maddy
    Technician Assistant

    Maddy came to us this past July as a Technician assistant in hopes to become a full time Technician here at GGAC. Maddy is an excellent hard worker who helps Dr. Lanier and Heather maintain patient care while also helping out in the kennel when needed. She is a true asset to GGAC!

  • Matthew
    Kennel Technician

    Matthew is our awesome Kennel Technician who takes care of all our boarding patients. Matthew feeds, walks and bathes all of your furbabies while you are out of town. He is exceptional with frightened pets making them feel comfortable during their stay with us.
